the chords for each verse are D major (open) followed by A major (open). 
then for the chorus, alternate between the same D major chord and C major (you 
guessed it, open). switch back for the verses. the rhythm is a bit
tricky, but that's it!

fyi, the leonard cohen version appears on "the songs of leonard cohen."
